BD Clean

Name

BD Clean is the platform of voluntary conscious citizens who are continuously working to build a clean and sterile Bangladesh.

Goal

The main goal of BD Clean is to build a clean and germ-free Bangladesh by increasing public awareness of using dustbins to change people’s mentality and habit of throwing garbage indiscriminately.

Purpose

The main purpose of BD Clean is to establish the status of Bangladesh as one of the cleanest nations in the world and to set every citizen of Bangladesh as an example of an ideal citizen worldwide.

What makes BD Clean Unique

Regular Cleanliness Activities

With the commitment to build a clean Bangladesh, the members of BD Clean conduct cleanliness drives every week at hundreds of locations across the country simultaneously. Each BD Clean team first identifies a relatively dirty area in their locality and then personally takes the initiative to clean it. Instead of mere words, BD Clean members aim to raise awareness about cleanliness among people from all walks of life through visible actions. 'My country, my responsibility to keep it clean.'

Raising Awareness

The reckless habit of indiscriminate littering by a few unconscious individuals is putting our lush, riverine homeland at risk of losing its natural beauty. Consequently, from streets to riverbanks, canals to tourist spots, even the yards of our own homes are becoming alarmingly dirty. To save the country from the hazards of this widespread filth, BD Clean teams not only conduct regular and special cleaning drives, but also actively engage with local communities to raise awareness. They deliver direct messages about cleanliness, urging people to give up the bad habit of indiscriminate littering.'Let’s be clean in mentality, let’s abandon the habit of indiscriminate littering, let’s build a clean Bangladesh.'

Setting Example

BD Clean members do not limit themselves to regular cleanliness activities or awareness campaigns, rather they go further working to create sustainable changes and awaken the conscience of those who contribute to pollution. They clean up foul-smelling garbage dumps and transform them into adorned greenery. They also clear canals and small rivers where indiscriminate littering has blocked the natural flow of water, thereby restoring natural beauty and helping citizens truly understand the difference between cleanliness and filth. Through these lasting efforts across various regions, BD Clean is setting powerful and permanent examples of cleanliness.'Change the mindset of littering forever, Let your hands build the shining example of a clean Bangladesh.'
